Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
softened
- ½ cup cane sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup flour

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream together the butter, cane sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the salt, baking soda, and flour.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
